The tour won't start / says I'm not at the starting location
Each tour begins at a specific spot (the base of the Monorail station in Seattle Center; Inventor's Gate at 72nd & 5th in Central Park). Make sure Location Services are set to "While Using" and "Precise" for the app, then walk to the start point. The map in the app will guide you.
AR isn't showing anything when I scan
Move the phone slowly side to side and make sure the whole landmark is in frame. Bright, even light works best; heavy shade or a crowd standing in front of the statue can slow recognition. Allow camera access for the app if you haven't.
I can't hear the narration
Check the ring/silent switch on your iPhone — the tour plays through the media channel, but some headphones follow the silent switch. Turn the volume up and confirm the app has audio focus (pause any music app).
The app closed and I lost my place
Reopen the app and choose the tour again. It will locate your space-time coordinates and pick up at the nearest stop. Keep the app open while touring where you can; the big red button pauses without quitting.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. The tours are currently iPhone-only (Seattle: iOS 11+, NYC: iOS 14+).
